Outfitting for whitetail deer hunting in Alberta is a real challenge! Generally it takes a Hunter to be patient. Whitetails have adapted to the varied terrain in Alberta. In the Parkland zone whitetails live in the Aspen forest where they can find many places to go unnoticed. In the Boreal forest and Foothills zones deer have the safety of spruce and aspen forests. Trophy whitetails are found regularly in all of these zones.
Alberta Whitetail deer have the largest bodies and largest antlers of the many species of whitetails across North America. A mature buck can weigh in excess of 300 pounds and bigger with antlers sizes ranging in the 140-180+ range. When blood is drawn, hunt is complete.

Wolf hunts are done in the months of January and February. These are the months the wolves are breeding and running in packs looking for food. Wolves can be hunted in any area of the province and I will use which ever area I find the highest concentration. Pickups and ATV's to get to baits and heaters in stands. The method of transportation depends on how much snow we have and what the temperature is, as it can be quite cold. Proper Alberta winter apparel is to be packed and worn for Alberta winter conditions! It is the hunters responsibility for proper Alberta winter apparel as apparel rental is not included in the hunt.

Once you've been black bear hunting in Alberta you won't want to hunt anywhere else. The color phases range from black to dark chocolate brown to blonde. The average male black bear will weigh anywhere from 200 to 450 pounds with many being 6' plus from nose to tail. Many bears harvested in Alberta have made the Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young record books. If this isn't enough to convince you, then the two bear limited in most areas should! Where else can you have the opportunity to harvest two black bears in one hunt!
Spring and fall black bear hunting provides the Hunter with the variety of opportunities. Baiting black Bears is allowed in most areas as is spot and stalk and either method will be productive. Hunting black bear over bait will give the hunter the opportunity to get close enough to see the quality of the bear, this is perfect for the archery and muzzle loader hunter. Spot and stalk hunting can be very productive as well.

Moose hunts in the Boreal forest. Hunts are done in September and October, when the rut is in full swing. This hunt is very exciting and challenging for bow and rifle hunters alike. We hunt from the lodge and use ATV's as well as jet boat to get into the back country. Moose hunts have a very high success rate aswell booking years in advance. The quality and size is excellent for Canadian Moose. When blood is drawn, hunt is complete.
